Zablaće is located on the coast (a coastal small place), 7 km south of Šibenik. It was first mentioned in 1432. The mediaeval Zablaće was famous for salt works and today they are remembered only by the following names: Velika jezera and Mala solina. These areas are special and famous for curative mud which is very helpful when treating rheumatism.
Zablaće is a small fishing place, 7km south of Šibenik, mentioned for the first time in the early part of the 15th century, when there was a salt warks. By tradition, the people from Zablaće have always grown tropical fruit, olives, and have been commited to fishing, therefore homemade food and wine are offered to the guests as the full board offer.
Zablaće is different from other small places because of its unusual, yet pleasant combination of old fishermen's houses and luxurious villas whose constuction was mainly financed with the support of the Croatian emigration. In this pieceful coastal place, exept for the rooms and apartments, the guests will have the opportunity to go camping in the densely vegetated pine woods. Attracted by the renovated concrete beach and by smaller graveled ones, a lot of swimmers come here and a great number of them are from Šibenik. The open sea is favorable to windsurfing, and there is a disco club in the centre of the place where you can enjoy yourself until very late at night. Šibenik is near so the guests, although accomodated in Zablaće, can enjoy the summer festivals which the town organizes in summertime such as The International Children`s Festival and The Festival of Chansons. Other events, organized in the nearby hotel complex Solaris are an additional bonus which make Zablaće seem even more interesting and attractive place for your holiday.
